Prop Governor Gasket
The Tempest™ prop governor gaskets are certified for use on all reciprocating engines that formerly used MS or AN type governor gaskets. These gaskets are fully compliant with all FAA test requirements and are successfully tested to withstand 1,000 psi, which is a 20% increase over the MS test requirements. The specialized black coats on the stainless steel screen, which is vulcanizd between the outer layers of the Buna-N rubber, makes the gasket monolithic in construction. Factory applied DC4 lubricant prevents the gasket from sticking to the engine or governor. The rubber cures into a solid block with the screen trapped inside it which eliminates leaks that can occur with the laminated die cut gaskets.
